Korean Politics and Foreign Policy | Dr.Saerom Han | This is an introductory course to help students understand what historical, political, and economic factors have led to today’s South Korean politics and the continuity and change of South Korea’s foreign relations, especially with North Korea and the United States. The first part of the course will investigate how Korea has been divided into two Koreas and how South Korea has been democratized. Along with South Korea’s Political development, its economic development will be scrutinized. The second part of the course will focus on inter-Korean relations, nuclear challenges in the Korean peninsula, and South Korea’s relationship with the U.S. |
